My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mia should really be called MS. CONGENIALITY!!!

She’s a very friendly, happy outgoing dog, she loves
all people and especially children. She could adapt
easily to either a quiet inactive family or to be best
friends with a whole gaggle of children to play with
every day. Even apartment living would be possible if
she could go for nice long walks. Car rides are very
special and she loves to go in the car.... every trip
is a big adventure and she loves it. She loves
companionship and being with people. She is calm in
the house and yet is playful in the yard, she seems to
understand the distinction between the two.

Mia’s foster MOM has worked with her on obedience
commands and she is a very well mannered dog. She
walks well on the leash, no pulling.... she shakes
hands with either her right or left paw, she knows
SIT, DOWN, WAIT, & COME! She can be serious when
she’s not sure of her situation but has a very silly,
funny personality when she’s comfortable in her
surroundings.

Toys are not Mia’s HOT BUTTON, she can take them or
leave them. She does not have a strong prey drive and
is fine with cats. She might adjust to living with a
submissive dog in a new home but that would merit
close supervision until they could come to a agreement
on that issue. When other dogs are around she is
possessive with her toys, food, crate, etc. An only dog
home would probably be best for Mia. Mia
displayed mild seperation anxiety when first taken
into her foster home. Her abandonment by her owners
must have played a role in this, but once settled into
a new home she would be fine.

Mia is in top shape, very healthy at 3yrs old, spayed
and ready to love you and your family with
unconditional love for the rest of her life.
