Shaka's Story...
Meet Shaka, a 2 year old Neapolitan Mastiff. He is on the smaller side for a mastiff. He came to our rescue from our friends at the Chula Vista Animal Care Facility. He was found running the city as a stray and his owner never claimed him! That's OK because now Shaka will be fed and cared for properly. He tends to get protective once in a home environment so a home with not a lot of foot traffic will be best. Shaka needs to be an only dog. He is a goofy guy who has lots of love to give and share. He has been attending our obedience classes and does well with his commands. Out of state adoptions considered if within driving distance. We DO NOT ship dogs out of state. Sorry, No exceptions. Home check required. If you're interested in adopting Shaka, please read our adoption policies at www.operationk9rescue.com and fill out an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shaka, a Encinitas Neapolitan Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Neapolitan Mastiff for sale in Encinitas, or seeking a Neapolitan Mastiff dog from a breeder in Encinitas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encinitas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encinitas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Neapolitan Mastiff breeders who help with Neapolitan Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encinitas paves the way for another one to be saved.
