Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tossed outside by a former owner, Missy was taken in for a bit before she was turned in to the shelter to find a forever home where she might live out her golden years without fear of being ejected again. She’s a pretty cat with a very quiet nature, and she’s timid, but who can blame her for that? She needs someone patient and kind to let her know that she’s wanted and loved. It may not take long, actually, as she’s pretty outgoing on her own. She often comes to the front of her cage to say hello, and when she was taken into the assessment room to be typed for her feline-ality, she initially exited her carrier with confidence and curiosity. She did not come when called, which indicates a caution on her part, but she was fine when the assessor approached her, and she loved being patted. Again, she was tense when held, and she is sensitive when touched unexpectedly. An adult or adults with shy-kitty experience and a love for shiny black cats with soft fur and soft personalities will be just right for Missy. All she needs is time and affection. It does not seem to be too much to ask.
