Doug's Story...
I was a stray who ended up living outdoors. I must have had a home at one time because I'm very friendly and like people. A kind lady in Medford had been feeding me but couldn't take me in as she has cats of her own. I want to come in and live with someone nice so so badly. I've been to the vet and I am in good health and up to date on my shots and I've been neutered. I'm probably 1-2 years old and I'm a big guy weighing in at 13.4 pounds, but I'm long, too, so I'm just right! And they tell me I have really beautiful eyes. You know, the kind all the female cats wish they had! Eat your heart out, girls! If you would like to give me a forever home, you will make me very happy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doug, a Medford Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Medford, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Medford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medford paves the way for another one to be saved.
