Pumpkin's Info...

I am purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Pumpkin's Story...
Pumpkin is a 9 week old American Pit Bull Terrier. She came to us as an owner surrender along with her sister Baby (also posted).

Pumpkin is a very good girl that loves to play with her sister and the other dogs in her foster home. She is great with other dogs, cats, and children of all ages. Pumpkin is doing well on her house breaking and crate training, and she is learning "sit" already! She is a complete lover and wants to alway be around her human and give lots of kisses! Pumpkin needs an experience Bully Breed owner to help her grow into the Pittie she is meant to be.

Pumpkin is current on all puppy shots and has been dewormed. She will be spayed and microchipped at the age of 5 months. Pumpkin loves her sister Baby and would like to go home with her, but we will separate them if needs be.

If you are interested in Baby, please contact Angela, our Canine Foster Coordinator, at a_duffek@rornfp.org for more information. An application MUST be filled out, along with a Criminal Background check, and a house check before adoption can take place.

Please note, we do not have a building, so there are no "viewing hours". Please email for an application as our volunteers may not be able to return your call promptly. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pumpkin, a Oak Lawn American Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Oak Lawn, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Oak Lawn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Lawn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Lawn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Lawn paves the way for another one to be saved.
