Bea's Story...
Bea, 2-ish year old boxer mix, a petite lady at 35ish lbs. White with brown cow-like spots. Healthy and happy. Sweet as pie, full of kisses and energy, loves a good belly rub (or any rub for that). An excellent running partner. Smart, perhaps too smart at times! Excellent on the leash and in the car. Friendly with all people and other dogs (mostly), LOVES little dogs and cats. House broken, sits on command (mostly) and at corners. Responds positively to training
Spayed with all her up to date shots

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bea, a Long Beach American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
