Dough Boy's Story...
Dough Boy is a male, Aussie/Husky mix, 9 months old. He should be medium to large when mature. Dough Boy is friendly and likes attention. He was surrendered to the shelter, because his former owner has no time for him. Former owner says that D.B. is housetrained, good with kids, cats, and dogs, and knows some basics, such as sit, speak, and he can shake with either paw. Dough Boy is ready to go home with a caring, responsible guardian who will make time to walk him, play with him, and love him forever. Use ID# 12-4-3. If you are interested in any of our homeless pets, please CALL IMMEDIATELY. Due to lack of staff and time to check email, we ask that you call the shelter at 574-896-5060 to insure that contact is made. Our hours are: Mon.-Sat., 10am-4pm central. If unable to get through to staff during public hours, please keep calling until contact is made. If calling after hours, please, leave a message on the answering machine. We will return calls, if you leave your name and number. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dough Boy, a North Judson Australian Shepherd/Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Husky for sale in North Judson, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Husky puppy from a breeder in North Judson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Judson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Judson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Husky breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Judson paves the way for another one to be saved.
