Dorothy's Story...
Hello! I'm pleasant, friendly, and looking spiffy in shiny black-and-white. They think my birthdate was between 12/07 and 3/08. I haven't been here very long, so please write or call for more information about me as we get acquainted! I'd like to be an inside/outside pet, and I'd need to be outside or crated inside when no one is in the house.

Please note: All pets are neutered/spayed before adoption. They need a fenced yard or other adequate arrangements to play outside safely.
The adoption fee is $75 (Add $2 if paying with PayPal - new service to use your debit/credit card or bank a/c!). FREE "New Pet" DVD & booklet and 5 lb. bag of dog food. Just click on the link to send an application:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dorothy, a Tahlequah Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie for sale in Tahlequah, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Tahlequah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tahlequah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tahlequah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tahlequah paves the way for another one to be saved.
