Burt's Story...
Hello! My name is Burt. I am about 8 months of age and about 55 pounds. I am a very sweet and outgoing boy. My brother is Ernie. We came to a shelter as strays and our owners never claimed us but we think that was the best thing that ever happened to us. You see, when the people at the shelter found us we were both dragging chains and our chains were welded tight to our collars. My brother Ernie's collar was already cutting right into his neck (see Ernie's profile for more information on him). We were both treated at the shelter and are completely recovered. We are also putting on some much needed weight. We love EVERYONE! We get along great with other dogs and love people. I am the more outgoing between my brother and I but I am teaching him to trust people again.

If you are interested in adopting Burt or Ernie (they do not need to be adopted together) please email Krystal at kbw15kb@aol.com for more information.

Thank you for thinking of adopting! Burt is up-to-date with routine shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Burt, a Rochester Hills Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Rochester Hills, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Rochester Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
