December is now officially Shih Tzu Month at Animatch. Animatch has more Shih Tzus than Santa has reindeer! Shih Tzus are very popular so they are a breed that frequently end up in rescue; unfortunately, supply far outweighs demand. We are always amazed at the beautiful and well-behaved dogs who end up at our doors who are unclaimed strays. Until people realize the commitment required in caring for a dog, this will continue to happen. In the meantime, the lucky ones who end up at Animatch and other rescues in the area. They will be placed in loving homes where they will get the love and attention that they so deserve. Slicker is a trusting and friendly dog who has loves human attention. He is quite active; he enjoys going for walks and is always ready for a game of chase with his canine pals. Although Slicker did not deserve to be abandonned, like all dogs he is very forgiving and ready to move on with his life. Are you looking for a terrific dog to add to your family?
