Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Notes: Male, 9 months old Basenji mix Fred's Foster Parents Write: History: Fred was a stray scheduled to be killed by Animal Control in Artesia, NM. He lost the use of his left eye, apparently due to an injury, sometime in the past. Nothing more is known of his history. Vet says there is a globe in the injured eye, but it could never provide vision. To close the eye would require removal of the globe, tear glands, etc. and would be a complex, difficult, painful, and expensive surgery. Traits: Very intelligent, lovable, friendly. Socialized toward people, but still a bit shy. Gets along well with other dogs. Loves to be petted and given affection and to lounge on furniture. House trained in 4 days and knows how to use a doggie door. Weight: 32 lbs. Color: Brown/white markings. Neutered, vaccinated, Heartworm negative.
