Kiana's Story...
Kiana is a sweet 2 year old white Chihuahua mix (maybe with American Eskimo?) who weighs 16 pounds. She is housetrained and crate trained. She is getting along fine with her foster siblings, and foster mom and dad. She loves to give kisses! Kiana was heartworm positive but has been treated successfully for them. She is current on all her vaccinations. Kiana just came into foster care so we will update her bio as we learn more about her. Come and meet our Kiana!

As HAHS has several adoption locations, please contact Candy or Mark at 816/916-3685 or lelandsable@comcast.net to find out when and where you can meet KIANA!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kiana, a Overland Park Chihuahua/American Eskimo Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/American Eskimo Dog for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Chihuahua/American Eskimo Dog dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/American Eskimo Dog breeders who help with Chihuahua/American Eskimo Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
