My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Maxi, a very handsome Sheltie born in December 2002 who came to Kiko when his caregiver became ill and could no longer take care of him. Maxi had adapted to his foster home very well so we thought he could easily make the transition to a forever home. The first time around, he was being handled a lot and perhaps it was too much too soon as he did not like getting his paws wiped after every outing and getting brushed on day 2 at his new home, the day after he just had his teeth cleaned at the vet. Things did not go well for him at his second home either, as he was left alone for too long and did not get enough exercise. Maxi is very healthy and has many good years ahead of him. Love Shelties? Got a little patience to let him settle in and some time to spend with him? You'll love Maxi!
