Tuck's Story...
What is it like? Having a home to go to every night. Since 12/07 (my approximate date of birth) I’ve tried to find a home, but the humans just wouldn’t let it be. I showed up at a house once to rest my weary bones but was quickly turned away. I tried the nearest store for food, but was chased away again. Things are looking up for me now since in rescue. It’s been a pretty rough life so far, and I’m ready to settle down. Can you help me out? I think I am a mixture of black Lab and Husky. I am up to date on shots, was neutered and have completed heartworm treatment as of 7/10. I get along with other dogs and cats. But I am an all around loving guy with a great personality and who loves to greet you with a smile. Who couldn’t use that everyday when they come home from work?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tuck, a Baton Rouge Labrador Retriever/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Husky for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Husky dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Husky breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
