Champ's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Champ's Story...
Champ is a silly hound boy who's a nice boy with nice manners! Champ already knows some obedience commands such as sit and gives his full attention during watch mes. He is learning to walk politely on leash, and already knows to take his treats softly with a gentle mouth. He'd love a brood of boys to play with! Champ is being sponsored with a $100 adoption grant from A New Hope Animal Foundation (toward a wire crate or training) and his adopters will get a training book by Patricia McConnell when they take Champ home!

Champ can be seen at Placer County Animal Services, 11251 B Avenue, Auburn. For more information about Champ, please contact Lynn at loomisgal@cs.com or Wendy at 530.305.1917 or at w.dapore@surewest.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Champ, a Auburn Plott Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound for sale in Auburn, or seeking a Plott Hound dog from a breeder in Auburn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Auburn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Auburn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound breeders who help with Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Auburn paves the way for another one to be saved.
