Revel's Story...
My name is Revel, as in the Red River Revel, because I look a bit like the Blue Dog. I sometimes go by the simple name of Spot. I am a young (about 6 to 8 months old) 32 pound male Blue Heeler mixed with maybe some Boxer. I have short hair so very little grooming is necessary.
Someone dumped me and my pals in the oil field. I was the only one to survive the highway.
After my rescue, I was sent to the vet's office, where they said I behaved very well with the other animals, so I was neutered, tested negative for heartworm and am now on preventative, got my shots and worming. I am now ready to be your best friend. I am a happy, loving animal. I don't know how to walk on a leash yet but I just stay close to your heels and sit at your feet when you stop walking and wait to have my belly rubbed. I can't stay here long with my Foster Family because they already have 5 other dogs but I would be a great addition to your family.
If you would like to talk to my rescuer please call his cell phone 318-469-0540 or email him at hsieck@skybyte.com. Revel's adoption fee is $60 which will be donated to Pet Savers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Revel, a Haughton Australian Cattle Dog/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Haughton, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Haughton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Haughton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Haughton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Haughton paves the way for another one to be saved.
