Liberty's Story...
Please, call me Libbe. I’m a gorgeous dark eyed, dark haired girl full of spunk and confidence with plenty of energy. I’m just letting you know, anything you want to do, I’M READY!!! Walk or run - let’s go! Car ride - take me ! Play chase - I’m fast! A swim - well, I’m sure you get the idea! Plus, I’m a smart girl, too, so it would be best if you have experience with handling and training a dog like me. Someone has to be in charge and while I’m happy to do it, I would be happier for you to be the leader.

Mostly, though, I just love to be near you, and will follow you around like a shadow. I’m a good girl inside the house, usually calm and looking for tummy rubs. I like to play with my toys and, oh, if you put a tin of treats on the counter, I know how to “show” you my treats when I would like one. Of course, I am always ready for a treat!

My foster Mom absolutely loves me!!! She says that I’m really special – exactly her kind of girl. Maybe I’m exactly your kind of girl, too!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Liberty, a Houston German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
