My story

Jersey's pictures don't begin to do justice one of the sweetest, lovingest, most friendly dogs we've ever had to pleasure to know. For some reason, her pictures can sometimes make her look like a little 'tough dog' , but her personality couldn't be more opposite. We found her at the pound, where she was taken after her owner was called up to active duty in Iraq. While she was at the pound all the volunteers were impressed with her affectionate, happy personality and she completely conquered the volunteer who drove her from the pound to the vet's office for her ACR checkup. Since then Jersey has gone from conquest to conquest. Jersey is an active and athletic dog, as you can see by her pictures. You can also see how loving she is by the way she literally wraps her paws around your neck and and hugs. Once you've got the Jersey hug, you're hooked and begging for more. Jersey is just as charming to dogs as she is to people. She lives with two dogs who think she's great. The older dog usually treats the foster dogs in his house with resigned tolerance, but he actually likes little Jersey and even licks her face affectionately. The other dog in her foster home is her play buddy and they wrestle and roll around in the sandbox and have a great time. Jersey is a playful girl, but she is also happily submissive to other dogs, which makes her a very popular girl at the dog park. She doesn't ever want to be boss dog, she just wants to be everybody's friend. Jersey is a very special girl and she deserves a very special family who can give her as much love as she will give them.
