Ashley's Story...

Hi, my name is Ashley and I am about 14 weeks old. I've been with my foster family since I was 7 days old, since my Mom got hit by a car. I've had a rough start, but have pulled through wit flying colors. I love to play with my sisters (Cindy and Mary Kay - see below) as well as the 2 cats and 2 dogs in my foster home. I am a great snuggler and will lay on your lap for as long as you'll have me. I am litter trained, and haven't had a problem in that department. I would ideally like a home with a furry friend such as a small dog or additional cat (my 2 sisters are available for adoption also). As you can guess, I like other cats and dogs and get along well with older children. I'll be available for adoption the week of July 25th - after my spay surgery. Please come and see me at: Edith's Pets and Supplies 1605 S. Ortonville Road Ortonville MI 48462 248-627-3205 Hours of operation M - F - 11 am to 8 pm Sat - 12 pm to 5 pm Sun - 12 pm to 4 pm

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ashley, a Ortonville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ortonville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Ortonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ortonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ortonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ortonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
