Hi, my name is Miranda and I'm really glad I'm here! I was caught in a TNR project and was going to be kept with other members of my colony until my shelter mom met me. Well, actually I was the one who realized I'd rather be with nice people than to be back outside where I didn't really have a special person to love me. It took a couple of weeks for me to realize that I could have a lot of fun with the other kitties here when we all get to come out and play together.
A lot of the time, I'll find that little sunny spot and have a nice nap for a little while, but then I love to explore.
I get picked up and held a lot and it's really nice. In fact, I enjoy that so much that in no time I find myself purring - mmmmm, I really love it.
If you'd like to give me a chance to be your very special friend, I'd really like that. It may take just a little while for me adjust to your home, but I'm sure that in no time at all, we'll be the very best of friends.
Oh, I forgot to mention that I was ear-tipped. That's the internationally accepted identification of an altered feral cat. I'm the only kitty here at the shelter that has an ear-tip, so I think it's pretty special.
At Altered Feral State, we work with feral cat colonies. All of our kittens were removed from the colonies and completely socialized when they are less than 8 weeks old. We don't offer them for adoption until they have been tested, vaccinated and spayed or neutered.
Our adoption fee of $50 only covers a very small portion of our costs, but to us, it's all about finding the best home for these wonderful kitties.
