My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tivie has arrived at CBR-East! He was placed in a foster home earlier than we had anticipated, but he was not handling being boarded very well. Tivie is a social little beagle who needs to be around people.



Tivie was used for non-toxic drug dosing studies, and then for the past 3 years, was used as a "training dog" (on whom staff were able to learn and practice new techniques such as drawing blood). There are no short or long term side effects expected from his time of service at the lab.



Tivie's foster home is in love with him. What a sweet boy...gentle, cautious, and just looking for love. He is a fairly mellow boy right now, but we're still waiting to see how his personality develops. Tivie is cratetrained, but is working on his housetraining. He gets along with his beagle foster brothers and sisters, and seems to love attention from people. He is cautious at first, but calms and is curious, so that works in his favor. He loves to snuggle and would make a wonderful addition to the right home. A real active home will definitely be too much for Tivie, as would a home with very young children. He will need patient adopters willing to introduce him to all the things the world has to offer. He is still learning how to go up and down stairs, and after a week in foster care has learned how to go down, but still needs to learn how to come up!
