Chase's Story...
Chase is an adorable 10-month-old, 50-pound Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland/possible Border Collie mix puppy who seeks a loving family. This fluffy guy was very shy when he arrived and has since completely come out of his shell to have the cutest personality. He's quiet, gentle, light on his feet, very easy to walk on leash, playful, sweet, loving, easy-going, low-maintenance, attentive, and very loyal to those he loves -- the perfect package! He is so named because his favorite thing to do is grab a toy and race around to get all of the other dogs to chase him! He is very eager to please and will be an excellent training candidate. Chase is a gem of a dog!

Chase is vaccinated and dewormed and will be neutered, heartworm-tested, and microchipped prior to or upon adoption. His adoption fee of $350 helps support our rescue dogs. To meet and potentially adopt Chase, please call 224 678 5740 and/or email houndhaven@sbcglobal.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chase, a Jacksonville Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Newfoundland rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
