My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a courtesy listing for a friend. Victoria is not in our rescue program yet but she will be joining us soon if the right home isn't found. Victoria's current owner provided the following information about her:

Victoria is about 10 months old and an awesome dog! She will be spayed before she goes to a permanent home. She's ok in a 4 foot fence, although she did push her way under ours once. She came around to the front door and wanted back in. She is good with our other dog, they play together, sleep together and just lay around together too.

She is not food or toy aggressive. She is totally housebroken, not a bouncy, silly dog, has learned that her crate is ok for overnight and when we're gone during the day. We crate her because, frankly, she finds something to get into if left alone uncrated or in a room with the door shut. She is young and will chew up paper, foam, and other items if we aren't home.

She only weighs about 40-45 lbs. and I don't think she'll get any bigger. She loves belly rubs, kisses, being held (until she gets too hot), lying by your feet, sitting for treats, playing fetch, sitting outside and watching the world go by...

She's ok with our 2 inside cats. Curious but doesn't really bother them. Neither of them run (smart cats, grew up with dogs). She does chase birds from the bird feeder though.

She is pretty much a laid back dog in the house but loves to run and play crazy outside with our other dog. However, I think she'd do well with someone as an only pet too. I know all dogs are unique and special but this one rates as one of the BEST dogs I've ever met. Beautiful, smart, loving but not pushy....friendly but not jumpy, just perfect.

All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested, on heartworm preventative year-round, and microchipped for identification.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, click here for our online adoption application. Vet and personal references will be checked and a home visit is required.
