My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone who meets Colette agrees that the word best used to describe her is “regal.” Born in late 2008, she is a stunning shorthair Siamese. Her type of coloring is sometimes described as seal point or chocolate point, but whatever you call it, she's definitely an exotic beauty.

Like most Siamese, Colette is very intelligent; there is a lot going on behind those sky-blue eyes. She has quite an expressive vocabulary, but she speaks only when there is something important to say. She enjoys the company of people, and will honor you by arranging her elegant self on your lap from time to time. At other times she will prefer to sit near you and observe, offering pleasant companionship without interfering with your reading material, computer keyboard, or other handiwork. She enjoys playtime, but she maintains her dignity at all times and her movements are always charming and graceful.

Colette doesn't seek out the company of the other cats in the house, but she also doesn't disturb them. She seems to be above all of that, and prefers her own stimulating company rather than striking up acquaintances with other felines who don’t quite reach her level of sophistication. We don't know how she would get along with dogs or small children, but she would certainly require that her personal space be respected.

This refined young lady has excellent house manners, and follows an extensive grooming regimen which keeps her looking immaculate at all times. A small mid-morning snack of a few kibbles may be followed by 10 minutes of washing up, fixing her hair, and doing her nails before she is ready to move on to the next activity.

Colette, like all ARCF cats for adoption, has been spayed, microchipped, is up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

If you are interested in meeting Colette, please fill out the "I'm interested" form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets.
