My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger is a frisky, friendly teenage kitten, born in March 2009. She has the added attraction of a sleek and stunning red tabby coat with white socks and bib. Most cats of this coloring are male and have wonderful, easygoing personalities. Ginger has that great personality, and she falls into the 20% who are female, so she is an extra-special girl.

Like her namesake, Ginger can be spicy, sweet, or both at once. She has lots of energy and loves her toys, especially chasing the track ball and flying through the air after the mouse on a string. But she can also be happy playing with a crumpled piece of cardboard, a loose shoestring, or a dripping faucet. She has a great time racing up and down the cat trees, and then taking a break on the window seat where she can watch birds and squirrels. You can see a video of her here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XU_0KhUwm4Q

Ginger isn't quite a lap cat yet, but she is affectionate and does want to be near her people. She's getting more comfy on a lap as she grows up and gets to know us better. She also has experience living with dogs and children.

Ginger, as with all ARCF cats for adoption, has been spayed, microchipped, is up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

If you are interested in meeting Ginger, please fill out the "I'm interested" form at our website, and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark.

Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.
