Rudy's Story...
Rudy is a young (10-11 months), active, and social little dog. He weighs about 14 lbs and is full grown. We like to call him a miniature Golden Retriever! He is great with other dogs, loves kids and is quite a happy guy. He is still young and needs an active family or one who will give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation -- basic obedience training. Foster mom has him nearly housebroken but he still has an occasional accident. So, we will recommend crating at night, initially. If you are interested in adopting Rudy you can download the application at the SAMM website or email us for it. Transport for adopted dogs to ABQ is scheduled for early February 2010.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rudy, a Albuquerque Pomeranian/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Albuquerque, or seeking a Pomeranian/Spaniel (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Albuquerque.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albuquerque already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albuquerque breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Pomeranian/Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albuquerque paves the way for another one to be saved.
