Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Journey is Adopted
Journey is fostered in Parma Ohio and her adoption donation is $350
Journey comes to our rescue after living in squalor.
She was one of the several hundred dogs rescued from southern Iowa after a puppy mill was shut down for over 100 infractions of the animal welfare act.
She is very young, and now that she’s been medicated and on the mend from months of neglect, she is ready to find a home of her own.
She has been fully vaccinated, and vetted. As soon as she is spayed she’ll be ready to go.
Journey is a young dog, probably just over a year old.
Luckily she will be able to shake off a lot of the neurological trauma that older mill dogs suffer.
She is playful, engaging, and very happy.
Because she is small we recommend homes that only have older children, or no children.
A fenced yard is an absolute must!
She is a flight risk and will need to be on a leash, even in the yard.
Like most young dogs that have not had training, she doesn’t understand boundaries or what is acceptable behavior.
But she is learning some basics though in her foster home, and is currently being crate trained.
She’s doing well with potty training, but whoever adopts her will need to understand that it takes time and she may have many accidents while she’s figuring things out.
We recommend getting her into a professional training program so she can be socialized with other people and dogs and learn some basic commands.
Journey is a very special dog and will require someone who has the energy and time to devote to her.
