Sophia's Story...
Sophie: 7-8 yr old black & rust female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 12", 12.5 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
"Hi! My name is Sophie and I am a very laid back young lady. I have had several litters of puppies in my short life. So I would like a home where I will be treated with respect and love with a nice yard to play in or lay in the sun. I am about 3 years old, a beautiful black and rust girl. I have been spayed and given all my vaccines. I felt a bit out of sorts when I first came to my new foster mom but a lot of things had happened to me in just a couple of days. I moved from one city to another and then stayed over night with this very nice man in a white coat. He told me I was a good girl and that when I woke up all my troubles would be over. My foster mom says I am a good girl and that my potty training is coming along just fine. I had been kept outside so I didn't know about 'housetraining'. I am about 12 inches at the shoulder and weigh 12 lbs, just right for my size.
If you would like to add me to your home please contact my foster mom.
WE live in Independence MO and would love to hear from you."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophia, a Florissant Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Florissant, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Florissant.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Florissant already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Florissant breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Florissant paves the way for another one to be saved.
