Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"SASHA" -- is a one and a half year old Border Collie mix who has come into rescue because her family no longer had time for her. She is good with all people and seems to get along well with other dogs. She also lived with a cat peaceably. She is house trained and while she doesn't have much other training she is a very smart and willing and we think she is going to be a wonderful dog for some lucky family. We'll know more about her after she's been in rescue awhile. Sasha is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations, on Interceptor for Heartworm, Advantix for fleas and ticks, and microchipped.
Sasha is being fostered in New Jersey.

IMPORTANT: You should always choose a breed/dog that matches your CURRENT lifestyle. Border Collies are not for everyone, and contrary to popular misconception, most are NOT typically “great family pets” and “wonderful with children.” (If that were true, there would not be nearly as many in rescue!)
Before inquiring about adopting a dog from us, we recommend you do a little research to find out if a Border Collie really is right for your family. For this information, and details on our adoption process, please see our web site www.NEBCR.org.
Please note that you MUST FIRST fill out an adoption application AND have a home visit BEFORE being considered for any NEBCR dog. Our rescue representatives cannot consider you to adopt ANY dog until your application has been submitted and approved.
For more about Sasha (including rescue contact information), and for more about other dogs currently available for adoption, please see our web site www.NEBCR.org.
