Hi World!! My name is Tigger and I live up to my name; I’m bouncy, pouncy and full of fun!!! I am here to tell you that I’m looking for a new home. My foster mom thinks I’m cute and sweet (sheesh—women!) but she also says that I am very strong (I’m da man!). I’m 6 years old they say, but I act and play much younger. I don’t have any major health problems, but my previous owners didn’t take good care of my eyes and ears—so they need a little extra care. I need daily eye drops for dry eye. I am house trained, especially if I can go in and out as I please. I am unusually active for a bulldog (What can I say? I like to be different!) I like to play ball (bulldog style—I bring it to you, but you have to try to get it away from me). I get bored if I don’t have anyone to play with me, so I need to have toys to keep me occupied (otherwise, I use what I find as a toy). I really am big and strong, so I need a home without young children. No kids under 12 please!! NO cats!! I think they are prey. I would do best as an only dog.....I would like to rule the castle! My manners need some work—so I need a family that will be willing to spend some time working with me and reminding me who’s the boss. I like to go on walks, but I get so excited I pull on my leash, so I guess I have to learn to behave better. (Previous bulldog or large dog experience would be helpful because I get very excited when I play.) I can be very cuddly, and I love belly rubs. I like to be around people, and I want to learn to spend time indoors with you. My previous owners kept me outside all the time, so I’m learning my house manners to be an indoor dog. My foster mom says it’s WAY BETTER to be inside than outdoors all day long. Isn't it the truth!!
Can you please love me and give me a wonderful new home?
Love, Tigger

Please have an adoption application submitted at www.rescuebulldogs.org BEFORE inquiring about Tigger. He needs to be placed in the Greater San Diego area ONLY. NO CHILDREN UNDER 12. There is an adoption fee with all our bulldogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tigger, a San Diego English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in San Diego, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
