Look at the face of this sweet girl! Hard to believe that someone, her original owners, could look into that face and then refuse to feed her. When Maddie was brought into the pound a year ago, she was little more than skin stretched over bones and clearly had just finished nursing puppies. But, as malnourished as her body was, her heart was full of love and you can see it beaming out of her eyes as she leans against the fence to kiss bypassers. Happily, Maddie found a great home along with her 'brother' Zeke (adopted from Rottweiler Rescue of Michigan and shown in the pictures with Maddie). Then, with Michigan's economy the way it is, Maddie's parents both lost their jobs, had a baby with another on the way, and now must move to an apartment that doesn't allow dogs. Maddie is very loving and grateful for any attention shown to her. She is such a good dog who listens wonderfully. She comes 100% of the time and loves to please. Both dogs have been through basic training. They love to get the leftover pancakes from breakfast and they love popcorn during movies. Not only is Maddie perfectly behaved, she absolutely adores children, having spent the last year raising a little baby who will miss her very much. Maddie is a soft, gentle girl, easy to live with and easy to love. More than anything she wants a kind family to devote the rest of her life to.
