Cowboys Wonder Otoe's Story...
Cowboys Wonder Otoe was relinquished to the rescue by his loving owner who could no longer keep him financially. Cowboy is a 20 year old happy, healthy bay registered Quarter Horse gelding. He has allergies to pollens that have led to COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). He does not need daily treatment, but when he has flair ups, must receive medication for several days. He does have thyroid issues and may need meds from time to time, these are very affordable. He is allergic to Penicillin. He is a sweet and easy going guy who is broke to ride. He is a low man in the herd, and gets along well with everyone. He is very personable and loving and enjoys attention and interaction.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cowboys Wonder Otoe, a Old Fort Quarterhorse was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Quarterhorse for sale in Old Fort, or seeking a Quarterhorse from a breeder in Old Fort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Fort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Fort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Quarterhorse breeders who help with Quarterhorse rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Fort paves the way for another one to be saved.
