My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Pinky and I am a five year old Yorkshire Terrier.

The person who turned me in at the shelter said she “found” me as a stray, although the folks that were there think she may have known “just a bit too much” about me to have just met me. It would appear, that I may have been a breeder mom, giving birth to litter after litter and being dumped at the shelter when I was of no more “use.”

I have quite a bit of life left in me. Toy breeds like me can live up to 15 to 20 years if well taken care of! I am mischievous and quirky, I smile for biscuits and bark when I’m not getting enough attention. I’m a very social, affectionate and loving companion.

Most of the day I’m out roaming the big back yard and pool that I share at my foster parents’ home along with a tiny, three pound Pomeranian, a gorgeous, Australian Shepherd mix and a 20 pound black cat known as “The Pirate.”

I have a reputation as being the house “doorbell,” because I always run to welcome guests the moment they arrive.

Although I am true to my “terrier” breeding and am curious, I tend to stay away from trouble. I’d rather spend time listening to you tell me all about your day and how much you missed me while you were at work!

All of my shots are current, I am spayed and microchipped. Please complete the Application Questionnaire to meet me.

BREED: Yorkshire Terrier, spayed female, silver & tan, 5 yrs, 10 lbs.

NAUGHTIEST DEED: Getting too close to the pool and letting my foster parents believe I may just jump in! Ha Ha!

PET PEEVE: Strenuous exercise.

FAVORITE PASTIME: Hanging out with my foster family and new friends while I wait for my “fur-ever” family to find me.
