Suki's Story...
Suki is a darling lil' girl. She is about 9-12 Weeks old and looks to be a pure bred dachshund. This little girl will do anything to get your attention and enjoys chasing you around the yard. She loves her crate and will come with her food bowl, a tug toy, leash & collar; crate not included. She is updated on her puppy shots and wormed but still needs two more rounds of shots and that will be up to the new adoptive home. She currently weights about 13lbs. She must be spayed by her adoptive home. Because of her long back we ask that the household only have older children because a dachshund can be easily injured. We will now be accepting Applications on this cutie.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Suki, a Rural Retreat Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Rural Retreat, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Rural Retreat.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rural Retreat already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rural Retreat breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rural Retreat paves the way for another one to be saved.
