Clint's Story...
Comments from the kennel staff: "Clint is a very gorgeous guy, and enjoys his "human time" immensely. He listens well, and walks well on lead. He seems eager to please in just about any situation. He is okay with cats, but curious. An owner experienced with dog/cat introductions would be best for this boy. We'll have more on him once he's settled into a foster home."***UPDATE 3-19-10*** Comments from the Foster Home: "Clint has really settled in quickly. He gets along well with both my Pomeranian and my cat. He's a people dog who has a happy tail and he loves to give kisses. Clint has really caught on to the do's and don't with ease. He does stairs well, and does potty on lead, although I think a fenced yard would be nice for him. He's ready for that special someone/family."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clint, a St Petersburg Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in St Petersburg, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in St Petersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St Petersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St Petersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St Petersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
