Zeke is not in the Closer to Home Animal Advocates rescue program. We are assisting his rescuer with finding a new home for this darling boy!
Zeke is a 10 month old, neutered, male Siberian husky. He is black with baby blue eyes. Zeke spent most of his young life chained up in someone’s back yard. Despite this, he is turning into a wonderful housedog. He is mostly housetrained and we are working on crate training. He is a bundle of energy and would be great for someone with an active lifestyle.
He is not good with cats, small dogs, or any small animal for that matter. He does like to play with dogs of similar size though, as long as treats, food, and toys are not involved. Zeke never learned to share with other dogs so he gets a little snappy if they get too close to “his” things (but we are working on this). He doesn’t mind if a person takes his toys or food bowl, but because of this behavior, he should not go to a home with children.
A six-foot fence is required for Zeke. He would have no trouble jumping over anything shorter if he saw something more interesting on the other side.
He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and on heartworm/flea/tick preventative.
Zeke's adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting this dog, click here for our online adoption application. Vet and personal references will be checked and a home visit is required.
