Fiona's Story...
Hi- I’m Fiona! I am a short hair gray/white feline. I am approx. 4 yrs old. I am spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FeLv and dewormed as well as housetrained/litterbox trained. I love other dogs and cats- and I am great with all people who are kind. I would do best in a home with no small children under age 5- as I do get scared when I am chased. I would prefer a home with another cat- I can be often found in my A4A volunteer foster home snuggled up with the other foster kitty when my foster family comes home from work. I like to be petted, I enjoy playing and I enjoy sitting with you/snuggling too. I am gentle and sweet. Thankfully, I was rescued by A4A when I was living (trying to survive) as a stray on a busy street. I am a lucky girl! I am in search of a loving, forever home to call my very own! Did you know gray and white short hair cats like me (along with short hair black cats) are least likely to be adopted and typically wait the longest to find a loving, forever home?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Xenia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
