Braun's Story...
Mina and Braun are a bonded pair who came in together and must go to their forever homes together as well. They were surrendered because Mina gave birth to a litter of six. Three of the newborns died at the previous owner’s home and they decided to surrender them all to us in an attempt to keep the just hours old babies alive; and although we gave it our all the other babies did not make it either. Sometimes females aren’t motherly with their first litter, especially when they’re young. We’ll, Mina and Braun are now spayed and neutered and ready to find their forever home. Braun is the friendliest of the duo. He can even be caught giving kisses, he truly is a sweetheart! Mina, however, is gorgeous! Although, her beauty is as enticing as a siren she’s a bit sassy and has bitten several people at the ARL and will be placed in a home without young children. If you think they could be a perfect match for you please speak to a Small Animal Specialist at the ARL today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Braun, a Westbrook Lionhead was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lionhead for sale in Westbrook, or seeking a Lionhead from a breeder in Westbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lionhead breeders who help with Lionhead rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
