NOTE: We named her Isis after the famous Egyptian Queen before the now infamous Isis)

It is unimaginable that this sweet little innocent and friendly kitten had survived the entire winter outside as the evidence would suggest. Pregnant and barely able to walk with severely frost-bitten feet (hence why she was named ISIS), starved and frozen, she actually jumped into the back seat of a woman's car the the parking lot of a grocery store. Isis must have known this was her last leap of FAITH and her last chance to survive!

It was 50/50 at the onset of her treatment that she would escape gangerene, however 3 weeks of intensive treatment, a wholesome diet & supplements, she has recuperated fully. Because of her severely malnourished condition it was recommended to terminate her pregnancy.

The first foster home she was in used to call her La Belle Fille (the lovely girl) so we always have continued to also call her this which she responds to. She is a loving and gentle girl who adores attention and would be best suited in a quiet home as an only cat or another laid back kitty. Won't you give her the life she deserves! Our personality profiles are 95% accurate based on the cats' present environment; this can change to SOME degree in a new environment, therefore, our predictions on the best matched home are 80% to 100% accurate.

As we have very limited manpower, please also note we are sometimes overloaded and cannot update profiles immediately.

Our Adoption Process...

Please first read our Adoption Procedures and Criteria on our homepage at:, then e-mail us requesting an application. We will then review it, contact your references and then contact you by phone for a short interview and to book an appointment for your visit to the shelter. Our visitors usually spend an hour or more to be able to interact with as many of our resident cats as possible, in a natural 'home environment' as well as an opportunity to ask us any questions you might have. We then ask that you return home to make your decision, and if you think you have found a suitable companion we then contact each other to discuss these details. If we are all in agreement, then arrangements are made for your special new companion to be delivered to your home (within a certain distance or other arrangements are made). Our minimum donation for adult cat adoption is $165.00 (an additional donation for cats who have had certain testing or treatments).
