Here's what the humans have to say about me:
3-5-10: Here is Miss Tess. She is a 7 month old bundle of joy who weighs about 40 pounds. She is gentle and lovable and just a bit shy with strangers, young and old, but she warms up in a few minutes. She has shown no signs of aggression. Usually, a belly rub or scratch behind the ears makes her a friend for life. She is living in a foster home with two adult dogs and three tiny puppies and she loves her housemates, one and all. She pulls on her leash at first, but quickly gets with the program and loves her daily walk. She is housebroken and it has not been necessary to crate her, although she does not object to the crate. She likes to ride in the car, but only with her friends – sometimes gets anxious when she is the only passenger. Tess has a beautiful coat, soft and shiny, and likes to be brushed. Her foster mom says she is sometimes treated with a night of sleeping on the bed at which time she loves to cuddle and snuggle and always sleeps through the night. She will grab a slipper and run, but does not damage the slipper. Her foster mom would like very much to adopt her, but there are already too many dogs in the household.
Tess would do very well in a home without very young children because the activity is something she is not used to. She also would love to have another dog or two to romp with. She has not been exposed to cats so it is unknown how she would do with them. Her foster mom thinks she would be afraid of a cat at first, but would probably get used to it.
Tess needs a forever home with someone who will give her the love and attention she so very much deserves.
