Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE 01-27-10: Megan's foster mom reports that this cute pup continues to do well! With her foster family's diligence, she has become much more comfortable with unfamiliar situations. They are socializing her with other dogs and she is doing great with them, and she met a group of school-age children and was a "total doll," giving them lots of kisses! She now knows the commands "sit," "leave it," "lie down" and "down" and they are working on "stay" and "come". Megan protests for just a few minutes when she first goes into her crate, but then settles in nicely. Megan loves her short training sessions and continues to be food motivated. Her foster family plans to bring her to Sooper Dogs for an adoption event this weekend. Won't you come meet this sweet little girl?
UPDATE 01-18-2010: Megan is now in Maine and her foster reports that Megan may be a southern girl, but she is now a snow bunny, and the new pictures prove it! Having probably never lived in a home, Megan is unsure about new situations, and her foster family has been doing a wonderful job of introducing her to new things. She is very food motivated, which is a huge plus in training any dog, and Megan is no exception. She is making great strides already and has only been in her new home for just a few days! She is already learning "sit" and to "leave it". She will, of course, need to continue with training with her future adopters, someone who will set limits for her and bring her to her full potential! Megan and her foster family are working on crate and potty training, and she is getting the hang of it. She does not have any accidents at night and will go right away if you let her out first thing in the morning!
Poor Megan and her sister Mallory have been living outside for the past 2 months- even in AR it does get cold. We are trying desperately to find foster homes for them on the 16th of January so that they can start learning about life in a home and receive the attention and love they deserve. They are both very sweet dogs who are now about 9 -10 months old. 11-14-09 Megan and her sister Mallory are sweet things. They are approximately 7-8 months old and are looking forward to joining families of their own!
