My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE February 8, 2010: Buddy's has arrived from the south and his foster mom shares that he is a great dog, and a huge LOVE BUG! He plays well with furry foster dog siblings, and simply sniffed the cat that resides there.

Buddy did not like sharing his tennis ball with his canine pals at his new house, but had no problem when his foster mom took it away. He likes to cruise the counters to see if there are any good vittles up there, and gets excited and jumps on folks sometimes, but these are things that his foster family is savvy to and are working with him on, and with consistency these common behaviors can be corrected. Poor Buddy simply never had someone love him enough to show him how to behave.

It appears that Buddy is part goofball, as he loves to roll around in the snow in the yard!

January 2010~ Meet Sweetie-Pie Buddy! He was given to the neighbor of a rescuer down south but they can't keep this big love and want to bring him to a shelter. The rescuer took him in, got him fully vetted and neutered and he is now ready to find a forever family of his own. The vet estimated his age at 1-2 and at 75 lbs he should not get much bigger than he is now - PHEW
He gets along great with the dogs in his foster home that range in size from 20 to 110 lbs! He has to be fed separately - it often happens when dogs have been on the streets and have to fight for their food, but he is learning that he will get consistent meals and lovin'! Buddy is very playful and is working on manners because he would love to jump on you for mucho lovin'! The vet thinks he was hit by something as he has some broken teeth but these are not in need of immediate attention.

If you are a lover of big dogs, email us today for an application!

Like many of our sweeties, Buddy is with a partner rescue or shelter in the south and we'd like to bring him north as soon as we can find a loving foster home to care for him temporarily.
