12-26-09 Asher is a striking, two-year-old male English Pointer who needs a loving home as a cherished family pet. Asher was rescued from death row at a southern animal shelter and has undergone treatment for heartworm disease. Asher is very good-natured and is well-mannered on a leash. He can be good with female dogs but his foster mom thinks he would be happier as an "only dog".
Asher has not been trained as a hunting dog and should be considered as a family pet only. He would love to have a home with a fenced yard for safe outdoor play.
