Fancy is a reddish colored Pittie/Bulldog mix that was rescued from a high kill shelter where she was going to be euthanized. Thanks to a generous independent rescuer, she was vetted and placed in paid boardng to save her life. Fancy is a female that is approximately 2 years old and weighs about 60-65 pounds. This poor girl came into the shelter with two different forms of mange! She has since been treated and given a clean bill of health by the vet so she is now ready to find her forever home! Please note that the last picture is when she arrived with her condition and her current photos are listed at the top and she is looking so much better since her fur ihas grown back.
Fancy was given up by her owner who called the shelter and told them that she found the dog and couldn’t keep her. However, when the animal control officer arrived, Fancy was in the house and was sitting very nicely next to their other dog who she got along with very well so the officer believed that the dog was not found but was being dumped by the owner because they can't afford to take care of her obvious medical condition. When Fancy arrived at the shelter, she did not seem to care for the other dogs but it may have been due to the fact that she was so uncomfortable and in a new environment since she appeared to get along well with the other dog at the former home. She is extremely nice and friendly with people and also seems to be an easy going girl that will mind commands.
