Marley's Story...
Marley is estimated to be 2 years old. He came to rescue after he was purchased off of Craigslist, and the husband of the family didn't want him anymore. They said he was too friendly, too much of a lap dog. Marley is great with other dogs, kids, and most cats. He is addicted to squeaky toys and bouncy balls. He will squeak his squeaky toy over and over and over and over. You have to have some patience with him, he just loves those toys. He LOVES to play with balls, from little bouncy balls to big kick balls. He enjoys walks on a leash, and will need to be able to sleep in your bed. Marley is mostly housetrained and uses a doggie door. He has marked at his foster home (he came to us un-neutered, most likely why he has had soo many homes). He will need someone who can work with him to correct the marking behaviour. He does very well for days, and then will mark.

Marley is now neutered, microchipped, and is current with his vaccines. His adoption donation is $200 and is fully refundable within a minimum of 30 days of adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marley, a Mesa Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Mesa, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Mesa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mesa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mesa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mesa paves the way for another one to be saved.
