Nutmeg's Story...
Hello my name is Nutmeg, and I'm about 5 years old. I came into the rescue because I was found wondering the streets. I was taken to the local shelter were no one claimed me, so the rescue stepped in in and saved me. Yahoo! Because I really didn't like that place. The rescue took me to the doctor and I am getting ready to have me teeth clean so they sparkle... They are not at their prime right now, but they will be soon. I am only 5yrs old and love to go for walks and car rides. My foster moms says I have really good house manners and easy going. But if you say “lets go” I am all over that. I am learning the doggy door, but I will alert you to let me out if I need it. I get alone well with my foster brothers and sisters. I just need someone to treat my like the queen I am and take me for a walk or two... that is really my highlight of the day.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nutmeg, a Phoenix Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
