Larry's Story...
I came upon this beautiful classic brown tabby boy when I was looking for my lost kitty. Larry grew up with 3 children and was and is a faithful kitty. Unfortunately, his owner's wife wanted to take him to Animal Care and Control, where most likely he would have been euthanized. I couldn't stand the thought of him going because he is an awesome cat and deserves so much better. I agreed to take him in and find him a wonderful forever home.

Larry is a wonderful cat. Very chill he really likes to hang out with humans. He gets along well with other kitties because he is just a laid back dude. He just wants to be there with you and wants you to be there with him. He does love to play with his feline flyer and will chase a ball but his favorite thing is to hang out with you.

Larry has an absolutely gorgeous coat. Pictures just don't do him justice. He is a very sturdy boy with gorgeous fur and beautiful eyes. He is 1 year old, has been neutered, tested negative for fiv/leuk, is up to date on his shots, uses his litter box and is very ready for his new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Larry, a New York American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
