My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**UPDATE** (7/9/2006) Hi again...It's been another great week at Camp Triple Crown. I am still working on perfecting all of the things I have been taught so far. I have been doing more agility stuff, which is always sooo much fun. Though I think my camp counselor needs to do some cardio,....she's usually out of breath after I've run through tunnels, and hanging tires, and over what is called an " A " frame. I love it. The new thing I have been introduced to this past week has been a wooden dowel. My counselor holds it and I have to put it in my mouth and hold onto it for a few seconds. So far, that's what I have been getting clicked and treated for. Word has it that this exercise will lead me to what is called a, 'retrieve'. Can't wait!

Yesterday I went to the lake (see pic) with two of my friends, and I actually swam for the first time. It appears this was a big deal as my counselor and her two friends were cheering and taking my picture. There was a big black cow at the waters edge as we arrived. I was very interested in getting a closer look, but no such luck. Later after a hose down, we went in the camp pool. This time the people got in with us. I even got up the courage to jump in once on my own. The pool area has a tunnel for us to run through, and sand to dig in. What a fun filled day that was! Enclosed is a picture of my first swim in the lake!!! Love, and licks, Belle xoxox

**UPDATE** (6/15/06) Bell has been given a wonderful opportunity...she has been accepted into Triple Crown Dog Academy for three months of training. She will learn basic obedience as well as help her trainer learn to teach it. This is a great opportunity for any rescue and Bell was a lucky girl this time around. Her classes started on June 9th, 2006. She will be back with us in 3 months (early September). She would definitely love a home waiting for her when she was done. We are still taking adoption applications for her during this time.

We are still learning about this sweet little girl. She is definitely a mix, but with what we'll never know. She was more on the petite side when she was younger, but has really filled out more like a Rottie. She is definitely a smart girl with a little bit of alphaness in her. Typically for a female Rottweiler.

Bell does great with other dogs, but may need to be fed separate from them due to some food issues. She does not show these issues to people, just dogs, which is not uncommon for dogs found running as strays...even pups.

We think with Bell's enthusiasm she will be a very good candidate for agility. You'll also have a lot of fun training her. So if you are looking for a wonderful, young, smart companion, you have found your girl!! Another great thing about this girl is that she loves water. She'll even play in her water bowl. She's got so many wonderful qualities that there will be lots to love about her!

Approx age: 1yr, 2mths
Sex: female
Good with: dogs, kids
Adoption fee: $150
