Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ranger is an adorable 10-12 week black/chocolate Labrador retriever mix puppy who was dumped at a high kill shelter in rural Georgia. He had no mom, no dad and no siblings to speak of… he was the Lone Ranger... a little orphaned puppy all alone in this big world, when he found himself behind bars! His only crime was that his owners did not bother to spay/neuter his parents!
Well, luck was on his side and this baby was rescued. A group of ladies arrived Tuesday afternoon at animal control and began taking some of the surrounding puppies from the cells next to him. As he watched his buddies leap into her arms, he kept hoping he would be next. His little tail was wagging as his angel opened his cell door. He smothered her with puppy kisses and then sighed....he was safe... one of the lucky few.
Unfortunately, Ranger was diagnosed with the early stages of parvo which is very expensive to treat. Ranger is now at the West Rome Animal Clinic where he is receiving the medical care he needs.
In addition to the veterinary costs he will need to be boarded and transported to the rescue in the DC area to find his forever home. The rescue that saved Ranger from certain death has been hit hard with parvo cases and special needs dogs and resources have been depleted. Please help us give Ranger the happy ending he deserves.
Donations of any amount, no matter how small, are greatly appreciated!
Ranger is now adoptable, and we are accepting applications so he does not have to wait long for his forever family. Interested adopters please contact MJsAnimalSanctuary@gmail.com for more information.
