My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

2-15-2010: Dora, who is approximately four years old, came into rescue with her daughter, Kora, as part of a protective custody case and is now available for adoption. Unfortunately, these poor girls both were diagnosed with heartworm, but have now been successfully treated. They have been living in a wonderful foster home and are both doing great!

Pretty Miss Dora thinks she is a lap dog and is also quite a licker! She is house trained and crate trained. She absolutely loves to snuggle in a fresh blanket in her crate and is up for a snooze with her people any time. Dora has never had an accident in the home. Sweet Dora is a love bug and is very obedient.

Dora plays well with every dog, large or small, according to her foster mom. She loves to romp and play outside. Her favorite playmate at her foster home, besides her daughter, is an Alaskan Malamute named Eskimo. She puts her head in his mouth and lets him play bite her all over!

Dora absolutely melts when there are Milk Bones around – her extra special favorite treat!

Poor Dora has not been one of the fortunate ones to find her forever humans. Won’t you open your heart to her so she can live out the rest of her life in a cozy, warm forever home?

As with many of our sweeties, Dora is with our partner shelter in the south.
